Privacy Policy

Your cellar is yours.

Last updated: 9 July 2026

This privacy policy explains how 1891 Ventures AB ("we", "us") collects and processes personal data when you use The Cellar Book — our wine and champagne cellar application available at app.mycellarbook.com and through mobile app stores — and when you visit mycellarbook.com.

We are a Swedish company and process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

1891 Ventures AB
Stockholm, Sweden
Email: support@mycellarbook.com

2. What data we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address, and credentials required to sign you in.

Cellar data. The content you add to the app: bottles, producers, vintages, bin locations, valuations, tasting notes, ratings, and your check-in/check-out history. This data is the substance of the service and is stored so we can provide it back to you.

Usage and technical data. Basic technical information generated when you use the app or website, such as IP address, device and browser type, and log data, used for security, debugging, and keeping the service running.

We do not collect payment card details, precise location data, or contacts, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

4. Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers ("processors") to run The Cellar Book, such as our application hosting platform and Cloudflare for website hosting, DNS, and content delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements and only as needed to provide their services.

Where a provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, transfers are safeguarded through the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your account and cellar data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records. Server logs are kept for a short, limited period for security purposes.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email support@mycellarbook.com from the address connected to your account. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) at imy.se.

7. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@mycellarbook.com. We will confirm once the deletion is complete.

8. Cookies

The app and website use only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to sign you in and keep the service secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Children

The Cellar Book is a service for wine collectors and is not directed at children. You must be of legal drinking age in your country of residence to use the app.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update it here and revise the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
